| Thallus foliose, loosely adnate or subpulvinate, 1–6 cm wide, 80–150 µm thick, dull leaden grey to olivaceous or blackened. Lobes rotund to ±obovate, sometimes elongated, flat to ascending, undulate, 1.5–5 mm wide; margins entire or crenate, ±lobulate with ±laciniate lobules. Upper surface smooth or roughened, matt; isidia absent. Lower surface similar, concolorous, rhizines minute or absent. Apothecia laminal, ±sessile to adnate, 0.5–2 mm wide; disc concave to flat, ±convex at maturity, brown to dark brown or blackening; thalline exciple concolorous with thallus or pale cream, entire or with small irregular outgrowths. Ascospores 8 per ascus, ellipsoidal, submuriform, 20–27 × 8–10 µm; apices obtuse. Pycnidia submarginal. Conidia 2–3 µm long; apices not swollen. | ||
